Title Variations: Some Hints That Your Online Business Is A Scam

By Michelle Tukachinsky

How do you know if the home business you are searching for online is a scam? What are some of the indicators of an online scam so you can protect yourself from fraud?

One of the telling signs that a home business is a scam is the absence of any contact information such as a phone number or an email address. And if it asks for your money through Paypal or Alert Pay, chances are high that you are heading for trouble.

When the business tells you that you don't have to do anything to make money and that it is totally automated, it is a sign of an online scam. Any business that claims to make money by doing nothing is simply bogus.

You are also being led into the online scam game when it doesn't actually give you a product save for a replicated website. Sure, it works for some, but only for those who have a huge mailing list, or for those who actually started these programs. You will just end u throwing away your money, so you'd better save it for something worthwhile.

A business that promises to help you get rick quick, say within the same day or the same week, smells of scam even from a mile away. You can easily spot these types as they usually have dollar bills flashing all over their website.

Another sign of an internet scam is one that is actually a small pyramid scheme that doesn't work. You've got to trust me on this one because even if I am embarrassed to say, I got involved in something like this once. It promises you huge leverage of a small amount of money, say for example, leveraging $45 into $50,000. Speaking from experience, it just doesn't work.

Other signs of home business scams are very cheap, poorly made websites. Stay away from these sites at all costs. These scam artists cannot even afford a decent looking website, and are probably in the most need of YOUR money! Run away from these cheesy sites like the plague!

There are other ways of determining whether the company you're dealing with is a legitimate business opportunity or a business scam. But nowadays, there are more scams out there than legitimate ones so buyer...be aware!
