Avoid The IM Market: Dan Kennedy Information Marketing Secret

By Neeraj Varma

Dylan Loh is making six-figures per month within three years of starting to market Clickbank affiliate products. Not focusing on selling Internet marketing products is key to his success.

Dylan was interviewed by Rob Toth as part of Dan Kennedy's Info Riches course. Top information marketers were interviewed for a series called "Future Of Information Marketing".

Dylan believes the market for selling Internet marketing products is becoming really crowded and it's only going to become more competitive as more and more people discover that it is possible to make a lot of money online.

More people can enter the market and be successful. "The pie is definitely big enough", says Dylan. But "with three or four launches in the same week and sometimes in the same day it's increasingly competitive", says Dylan.

"It's relatively easier in non-Internet-marketing niches", says Dylan. If you look real hard in Clickbank you will find lots and lots of good niche products to promote. Dylan says "my philosophy is that I always get them (new clients) to start off in the other niches then it's easier to enter and get the feel of it". After they have achieved some success they can go back to the Internet marketing niche if they want.

When people think of doing business on the Internet they start looking for information on the subject. They get on some lists and all they ever see is Internet marketing products being promoted. This is because they are being targeted for that niche. They are being sold Internet marketing products over and over again because they aer interested in that field.

Many people get stuck in the IM niche. They might take an excursion into another niche for a short time but they are still signed up for the Internet marketing lists so they get sucked back in and start focusing on that niche again. Dylan says "there are so many other niches that no one is paying attention to".

The most important thing to do is to focus on one niche THEN move to another one. Whether you see success or not, you'll gain valuable experiences. Start off in a non-Internet-marketing niche. Learn how things work. After you have seen some profits you can always go back to the Internet marketing niche and try your hand there.

Take action and focus. That's the key. "Don't over-analyze the situation." You'll be better off if you get a little understanding and just take action. You should take small steps until you know what to do. Then you can spend more time and money on things that have proven to work. Drop what doesn't work. If you want to learn you have to get started first. "Don't spend so much time trying to think of all the possible ways to be perfect", says Dylan. - 16069
